The history of the CPC, the history of the People's Republic of China, the history of reform and development, and the history of socialist development are the precious spiritual wealth of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the fundamental basis and endogenous power of CPC members improving Party spirit, as well as an important required course for CPC members. The CPC SIG Committee has attached great importance to four histories learning and education, taken it as the important content of the long-acting mechanism for education themed Staying true to the mission, grasped key points and enhanced the sense of responsibility, integrated four histories learning and education with ideal and belief education and Party spirit education, strengthened all-round learning, unified knowledge and action, further improved the theoretical level, ideological depth and practice ability of all Party members and cadres in SIG, and pushed forward four histories learning and education.

Make detailed arrangements through organizational leadership. The CPC SIG Committee unified thought, conducted planning and made arrangements at the earliest possible time, established the leading group on four histories learning and education with the Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee as the head, the Vice Secretary and Secretary for the Discipline Inspection Commission as the deputy heads. Under the leading group is an office responsible for the overall arrangement and coordination of four histories learning and education in SIG. The leading group formulated and issued the Implementation Plan of SIG for Carrying out Learning and Education of the History of the CPC, the History of the People's Republic of China, the History of Reform and Development, and the History of Socialist Development, the Key Work Schedule of SIG for Four Histories Learning and Education, the Key Project Schedule of SIG for Four Histories Learning and Education, and the Notice of SIG for Systematically Carrying out Five-One Activities in Four Histories Learning and Education, made specific arrangements and gave detailed guidance on four histories learning and education to practically advance four histories learning and education.

Grasp the direction through lectures. Since the start of four histories learning and education, the CPC SIG Committee has invited members of the Four Histories Expert Presentation Group to attend six workshops on the history of the CPC, the history of the People's Republic of China, the history of reform and development, and the history of socialist development, as well as Xi Jinping, The Governance of China III and Trial Work Regulations of the Communist Party of China for Grass-roots Organizations of State-owned Enterprises, to guide Party members and cadres in learning and understanding histories and improve their learning effectiveness through rich historical records, detailed data, vivid stories and systematic theories.

Recall the aspiration through visits. The Office of SIG's Leading Group on Four Histories Learning and Education opened a four histories learning and education column in the Party building sector of SIG's intranet, and pushed Today in History and the list of key books on four histories every day. Party organizations at all levels in SIG made full use of Shanghai's Party building education resources, elaborately arranged visits to revolutionary sites, and organized Party members and cadres to visit the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the former site of the CPC Central Military Commission, National Anthem Gallery, the former residence of Mao Zedong and other sites, to recall the oath and aspiration of joining the CPC; visited Sihang Warehouse Museum of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Museum of the CPC Shanghai Underground Organization, Former Residence of Liu Changsheng and other revolutionary museums, to reminisce about revolutionary martyrs and promote revolutionary spirit; participated in a Party Day activity themed Learning Four Histories, Tracing the Mission in Binjiang, visited Yangshupu Station at Qinhuangdao Road Terminal, followed General Secretary Xi Jinping's footprints to visit the public space in the Binjiang section of Yangshupu Waterworks, watch a video featuring General Secretary Xi's important speech during his visit to Shanghai and experience his deep feelings for the people.

Set examples through lectures. On September 29 marking the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee took the lead in giving Party lessons to League members and youth representatives in SIG. From the significance of four histories education, with focus on Shanghai's spirit of innovativeness, toughness and operability in reform, he told of major events he had experienced and set an example by giving a Party lesson to secretaries of Party organizations at all levels in SIG. On the afternoon of November 4, Yu Beihua attended a Party organization meeting of the Fifth Party Branch of Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM), a grass-roots Party building work contact point, and conducted a survey on four histories learning and education. All the leaders of the CPC SIG Committee headed to Party branches or grass-roots contact points for Party organization meetings prior to November 5.

Enhance the sense of responsibility through quizzes and training. To promote the high-quality development of SIG, and consolidate the ideological foundation of Party members and cadres, the CPC SIG Committee organized a WeChat quiz themed Learning Four Histories, Staying True to the Mission, Inspiring Passion, Keeping Going among all Party members. Consisting of three sessions from September to November, the quiz combines four histories learning and education with hot topics such as the spirit of the SIG CPC Member Congress, corporate culture and the 5th Plenary Session of 19th CPC Central Committee, to promote four histories learning through quizzes and training. The committee also organized training for secretaries of Party branches and Party cadres in SIG, and added courses on four histories and computer tests, to keep Party members and cadres ahead in four histories learning and education.

Achieve practical results through theory-practice integration. The CPC SIG Committee has integrated theories with practices, improved the vision of overall situation, focused on SIG's central work, and practically converted the outcomes of four histories learning and education into the new impetus propelling enterprises to overcome hardships and accomplish transformational development. The committee held a workshop and enlarged meeting at the earliest possible time, to give lectures on the spirit of the 5th Plenary Session of 19th CPC Central Committee, learn and convey the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Development and Opening-up of Pudong. The committee has accurately grasped the major strategic arrangements of the State for overall development planning in the fourteenth five-year period, implemented the spirit of the 5th Plenary Session of 19th CPC Central Committee and the task requirements of the pilot program for the comprehensive reform of state-owned assets and enterprises in Shanghai in light of SIG's actualities, and formulated SIG's fourteenth five-year and new-round three year action plan. The committee has improved the capability of reform and development guided by Party building, explored paths of serving major national and municipal strategies in forms such as joint study and internal workshop, and kept intensifying reform and innovation. The committee has pressed ahead with financial holding group building, continuously optimized the work of the pilot simulative regulation of financial holding companies, and constantly improved the efficiency and quality of the monitoring information statistics and summary of financial institutions. With focus on finance and technology, the committee has accelerated active investment, perfected the industrial fund management system, continuously improved post-investment management, and built a professional and efficient investment management system. The committee has intensified comprehensive management support, continuously advanced risk compliance management, created innovative financing channels, kept expanding talent teams, and comprehensively improved administrative level.

To date grass-roots Party organizations in SIG have organized over 300 studies, and kept renovating optimal studies on the basis of finishing required studies. At the next stage, SIG will continue to implement the work requirements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, steadily advance four histories learning and education in light of work actualities, and learn four histories seriously and systematically, to make Party members and cadres firm up beliefs and draw strength in learning, arm brains, guide practices and promote work with the Party's innovative theories, apply learning outcomes in practices and unify knowledge with action.
