On the afternoon of August 14, a donation ceremony themed Staying united against the epidemic took place at Dongfang Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital (DHSH). Present were Xu Jinsong, President of DHSH; Vice Chairman Shi Nanchang and Secretary General Xu Xiongxin of the Shanghai Charity Foundation (SCF); Liu Guang'an, Vice Chairman and General Manager of SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd. Xu expressed thanks to SCF, SIGAM and Guohe Capital for their support in DHSH's anti-epidemic efforts. As the epidemic has caused heavy pressure on and posed an acid test to medical institutions and the society, we need to stay united against it, he said. During the epidemic outbreak, Shanghai attached great importance to medicare and sent over 1,000 doctors to Hubei, including two teams with 63 members from DHSH. Now the international infection rate of Covid-19 is high and the future situation largely depends on vaccines.

Shi also expressed thanks to SIGAM and Guohe Capital. Founded in 1994, SCF takes supporting the old, the young, needy students and the poor as its work policy, and standardization, professionalism, efficiency and transparency as its work requirements. SCF is committed to serving charity programs, serving the public and delivering love to Hubei people. During the epidemic outbreak, SCF received 680 million yuan in donation, and coordinated with the Shanghai Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters to precisely allocate resources to support frontline epidemic fighting.

Guohe Capital conveys deep patriotism in its name. The company and its invested companies have devoted themselves to epidemic fighting since the Covid-19 outbreak: the company has donated allowances to Hubei-aiding doctors and medical devices to hospitals in a designated manner; its invested companies have donated tens of millions of yuan in cash and supplies. Medicare is an important sector of the company. Coordinated by SCF, the company has established a good contact mechanism with DHSH. Hopefully the two sides will jointly promote the development of Shanghai's medical and health undertakings.
