Hu Youlian, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Shanghai International Group (SIG), visited SIG's subsidiaries-Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM), SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SIGAM) and Shanghai SITICO Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SAM) from September 21 to 25. He listened to the subsidiaries' reports on business work from 2019 to 2020, internal control building and the duty performance of their boards of supervisors.
Hu spoke highly of the subsidiaries' results in business development, internal control building and the board of supervisor working mechanism. Based on SIG's functional positioning of subsidiaries and next-stage work ideas, he noted that as state-owned assets management companies, the subsidiaries should seize opportunities, act initiatively and play their role as major forces in Shanghai's state-owned assets and enterprise reform and five centers building; and should serve the real economy, promote the transition of capital from virtuality to reality and drive industrial integration through professional investment, thus empowering invested enterprises.
He raised expectations for the next-stage work: Firstly, the subsidiaries will accelerate development, grow strong, improve professional competence, show competitive edge, keep enhancing market influence and core competitiveness, and make positive contributions to major national and municipal strategies. Secondly, the subsidiaries will, based on the requirements of financial holding supervision, advance internal control system building in an orderly manner, give play to the role of the boards of directors, supervise and improve compliance and internal control building. Lastly, the subsidiaries will guide young Party members and employees with the concept of Party building, strengthen team building and serve SIG's financial holding transformation.
SIG's full-time directors and supervisors, as well as relevant staff of the Office of the Board of Supervisors of SIG accompanied Hu for the visit.
