Shanghai International Group (SIG) held 2021 Study Seminar on December 22, to learn and comprehend the spirit of the 5th Plenary Session of 19th CPC Central Committee, the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his visit to Shanghai, the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Development and Opening-up of Pudong and the spirit of the 10th Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, analyze the future situation of internal and external development, study and plan the overall development of SIG and its key work tasks next year. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, hosted the seminar. Hu Youlian, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of SIG, attended the seminar.

At the seminar, Liu Xinyi, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG, conveyed the spirit of the recent Central Economic Work Conference. SIG's leaders, Party leaders of SIG's subsidiaries, heads of SIG's departments, representatives of full-time directors and supervisors, the Office of the CPC SIG Committee and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office exchanged ideas on SIG's future development based on respective work actualities.

The seminar noted that 2021 marks the opening year of the "fourteenth five-year" period and a key year for SIG to implement the three-year action plan for strategic development. Guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, to serve major municipal strategies, SIG will comprehensively advance the "dual engine" strategy of state-owned capital operation and investment management led by financial holding group building, and endeavor to create a new prospect for high-quality development.

The seminar called for efforts to fulfill the work next year and for the coming years. SIG should focus on its primary responsibility and business, strengthen reform and innovation, fulfill key work such as financial holding group building, state-owned platform function deepening, investment management level improvement, marketization mechanism reform, risk control and grass-roots Party organization building, continue to improve the capabilities of market-oriented and specialized management, create a new prospect and accomplish new development in reform and innovation, so as to meet the centenary of the Communist Party of China with outstanding results.
