To learn and implement Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, as well as the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th plenary sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and promote the reform and development of SIG with focus on SIG's "fourteenth five-year" plan and three-year action plan for strategic development, the final of "Innovation Leads Future, Creation Achieves Dream"--2020 Youth Innovation & Creativity Competition of CYL SIG Committee took place at Conference Room 208, SIG Building on the afternoon of December 10. Present were Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors; Liu Xinyi, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG; and Wu Jun, Member of the CPC SIG Committee, Secretary for the Discipline Inspection Commission and Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. Heads of relevant departments of SIG attended the event as judges.

In the final, 11 teams from grass-roots League organizations in SIG made presentations in the order of draw. Through intense competition, "Innovative Research on Bankruptcy and Judicial Disposal of Non-performing Assets" presented by the General League Branch of Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM) won the first prize; "Establishing the Model and Method of Financial Institution Research from the Perspective of Capital Management" presented by the General League Branch of SIG won the second prize; "Research Report on Opportunities and Methods of Fintech Investment-from a Financial Perspective" presented by the General League Branch of SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SIGAM) and "Research on the Strategy of SIG's Equity Assets Allocation" presented by the General League Branch of SIG won the third prize; the other 7 teams won the merit prize.

Liu made concluding comments on the competition on behalf of SIG's leading body. He spoke highly of the research findings and competition organization, raising higher expectations for the future of the competition. He noted that innovation is the only way to better development, requiring that League members in SIG should participate in multi-level innovation in SIG's business models, organizational structure, licensing control and management systems through project research, to support the reform and development of SIG and contribute to national and municipal strategies.

Since its launch in April, with focus on the three major tasks assigned by the central government to Shanghai, as well as important work such as advancing the building of "five centers" and promoting Shanghai's "four brands", based on SIG's deep thought on formulating the "fourteenth five-year" plan and the three-year action plan for strategic development, in the form of project research, the competition has explored financial holding group development and management, expanded fintech investment and application, probed into strategies and industries of asset allocation, enhanced the business value of AMCs, and shown the concept of research driven management and creating value. Research findings are of high quality, innovative and integrated, showing the strong sense of mission and responsibility of SIG's League members.

The competition will continue to guide League members in SIG in forging ahead and making innovation with focus on SIG's central Party and political work, and propel League members to strive to be pioneers and builders in the reform and development of SIG with youthful vitality, innovation momentum and the spirit of racing against time.
