Optimal Window, Substantial Subscription: SSAM Issues Second-Tranche Corporate Bonds in 2020

On October 20, Shanghai State-Owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. (SSAM) issued its second-tranche corporate bonds in 2020, with a term of 3 years and a coupon rate of 3.60 percent, achieving low-cost issuance amid the market slump.

To cope with the pressure from the rigid redemption of medium & long-term bonds, SSAM conducted elaborate planning and efficient coordination, took targeted measures, gave overall consideration to good news from the bond market after the release of economic data on November 19, avoid disturbing factors such as, the time point of tax payment in late October and the increase in treasury bond supply on October 21, and selected a good time for bond issuance. On the day of bookkeeping, the issuance gained 4.04 times of subscription and drew a total capital of over 8 billion yuan. With the strong support of securities houses, banks, among others, the issuance was completed at a price far below market valuations.

The low-cost issuance amid global market turbulence and the continuous outbreak of Covid-19 shows SSAM's perseverance in professional, market-oriented, sustained and high-quality development, as well as the capital market's high recognition of SSAM. It is of great significance to establish the good brand image of SSAM.
