On the morning of September 29, 2020, the Shanghai Anti-epidemic Commendation Conference took place at the Red Hall of the Shanghai World EXPO Exhibition & Convention Center. According to the Decision of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government on Commending Shanghai's Advanced Individuals and Collectives in the Fight against Covid-19 and the Decision of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee on Commending Shanghai's Outstanding CPC Members and Advanced Grass-roots Party Organizations, 1,000 advanced individuals, 300 advanced collectives, 100 outstanding CPC members and 80 advanced grass-roots Party organizations were commended. Upon recommendation by SIG, review by the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SHSASAC) and publicity, Chen Xiaomin, Manager of the Department of Human Resources, Deputy Director of the Department of Administration and Chairman of the Labor Union of Shanghai International Group Building Co., Ltd., was honored as Shanghai Advanced Individual in Anti-epidemic Fight.

Facing the Covid-19 outbreak in early 2020, Chen asked for an early return to work before the end of the Spring Festival holiday, took an active part in drawing up the epidemic prevention and control emergency plan of SIG Building and the work resumption plan in the special period, assisted the investment promotion department to work out the implementation plan for SME office rental reduction and exemption, provided strong support for corporate leaders to make overall decisions and arrangements for epidemic prevention, and worked with SMEs in the building to tide over hardships, to show her virtue of sacrificing individual interests for public good.

Since the Covid-19 outbreak, under the leadership of the CPC SIG Committee, SIG's Party organizations and members at all levels have implemented the spirit of the CPC Central Committee's instruction, as well as the arrangements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and given play to the fortress role of Party organizations and the exemplary and vanguard role of Party members in the anti-epidemic fight, showing SIG's social responsibility.

He hoped that SIG's Party organizations and members at all levels would, under the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the National Anti-epidemic Commendation Conference and his important speech during his visit to Shanghai, firm up confidence, forge ahead with determination, fulfill SIG's annual tasks, promote the high-quality development of SIG, and achieve a "dual victory" in epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development.
