On September 16, Shanghai Fintech Industrial Association (SFIA) was invited to attend the "3rd China Fintech Industry Summit & 2nd Sino-Singapore (Suzhou) Fintech Expo" in Suzhou.
At the opening ceremony, SFIA and the Suzhou Fintech Association (SFA) entered into a strategic cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the two sides will establish a long-acting connection mechanism, share superior resources, and jointly promote the building of Shanghai International Fintech Center and a regional fintech center in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD). The signing of the agreement marks SFIA has further integrated itself into the national strategy of "YRD integration", accelerated integration in an all-round manner, and promoted the integration of the fintech industry in YRD.
SFIA invited SFA to join the building of Shanghai International Fintech Innovation Center, to promote deep and all-round cooperation in "funds, bases and industries", and establish the image of Shanghai as an international fintech innovation highland in YRD.
SFIA was initiated by Shanghai International Group (SIG), advised by eight administrative departments including the People's Bank of China Shanghai Head Office, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission Shanghai Bureau, the China Securities Regulatory Commission Shanghai Bureau and the Shanghai Municipal Financial Regulatory Bureau, and co-initiated by 44 entities, including financial factor markets, financial institutions, new finance and fintech subsidiaries, tech enterprises, universities, research institutes and functional institutions. Positioned as a trans-industry, open and non-profit unincorporated organization made up of fintech institutions, guided by the concept of open exchange, frontier presentation, win-win cooperation and ecological innovation, SFIA aims to serve the high-quality development of the fintech industry in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta, build an international technology cooperation and industry promotion platform, focus on theoretical development, application and practice, facilitate fintech cooperation among members, advance the industrial collaboration and ecological building of fintech, and promote the deep integration of the building of Shanghai International Finance Center with the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
