The 4th Plenary Meeting of the 4th SIG Staff Representative Congress took place on June 2. Liu Xinyi, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG; Guan Wei, Vice President and Chief Finance Officer of SIG; and Zhou Lei, Vice President and Chief Investment Officer were present. Ma Haiyan, Member of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairwoman of the Labor Union of SIG, hosted the meeting. 41 staff representatives from SIG's headquarters and subsidiaries attended the meeting. Also present were SIG's collective consultation representatives and chairmen of labor unions of some subsidiaries.

The attendees listened to the Report on Co-opting Representatives of the 4th Staff Representative Congress of Shanghai International Group Co., Ltd. and the Report on the Collective Consultation of Shanghai International Group Co., Ltd. in 2020.

Liu delivered a speech on continuing to deepen democratic management with focus on SIG's reform and development targets and tasks. Firstly, we should deepen democratic management to boost the reform and development of SIG; secondly, we should advance the building of a corporate democratic management system based on the staff representative congress in depth; lastly, we should focus on building a high-quality staff team, said he. He required that SIG's staff should enhance overall awareness, improve learning ability, fully perform duties and strive to create a new prospect for the democratic management of SIG.

At the congress, 8 staff representatives from SIG's headquarters, subsidiaries, fund companies and hotels, with focus on SIG's future business development, aired their views on financial holding group building, state-owned capital platform function deepening, risk control system improvement, AMC, young employee growth and labor union work, offering constructive and targeted opinions and suggestions.

2020 is the decisive year for China to build a moderately well-off society in an all-round way and fulfill the "Thirteenth Five-Year" Plan, the final year for Shanghai to achieve the goal of basically building "four centers", as well as the opening year for SIG to implement its new three-year strategic action plan. Under the leadership of the CPC SIG Committee, guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, SIG's staff representative congress and staff representatives should enhance political stance, maintain strategic focus, firm up the confidence in winning, deepen democratic management, safeguard staff's rights and interests, steadily perform duties, keep improving duty performance, unite staff and keep arousing their work enthusiasm, innovation vitality and creative potential, and make unremitting efforts to promote the new-round high-quality development of SIG and serve the major development of Shanghai wholeheartedly.

At last, Zhuang Ruobing from the Labor Relations Department of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions gave a lecture on improving the duty performance of the staff representative congress. The lecture integrating theory with work practice is of high targeted and guiding significance to further strengthening the building of the staff representative congress mechanism, improving the comprehensive quality of staff representatives, performing the duties of democratic participation, supervision and management, and promoting the harmonious development of the enterprise.
