On the afternoon of May 6, SIG held a special meeting on construction safety and quality at SIG Building. Liu Xinyi, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG and Ma Haiyan, Member of the CPC SIG Committee, attended the meeting. The management office, designer, general contractor and supervisor of the reconstruction project of SIG Building, the management consulting company and investment supervision personnel were present.

At the meeting, the project management office reported the project progress and next-stage key and difficult work. The constructors' leaders in charge delivered speeches.

Liu raised requirements for construction safety and quality. Firstly, we should enhance political stance, implement the project in accordance with high standards, ensure the normal operation and maintenance of equipment at China Foreign Exchange Trade System, and protect national historical buildings around the project; secondly, we should enhance work responsibility, fulfill project targets, ensure the quality of key positions and concealed works, and solve problems left over by history; lastly, we should bring synergic effects into play, shoulder responsibility with courage, overcome hardships, give full play to the participants' professional competence and strength, and make effective use of talent advantage and resource advantage.

Construction safety and quality control are most important work in the upcoming project, he said, hoping that the management office and the other participants would make concerted efforts to perform their responsibility as safety and quality subjects and constantly improve safety and quality management; would enhance safety awareness and give top priority to work safety; and would build a corporate brand through engineering quality and go all out to deliver an outstanding project!
