According to the requirements of the Notice of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee on Seeking Gaps in Comparison with the Party Constitution and Rules in Education Themed "Staying True to the Mission", as well as SIG's work arrangement for theme education, SIG held a special meeting to seek gaps in comparison with the Party constitution and rules in education themed "Staying true to the mission" on the afternoon of August 20. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, hosted the meeting. The Party leaders and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of SIG attended the meeting. Also present were Zuo Yan, Head of the 17th Tour Steering Group of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee on Theme Education; and other leaders.

To make full preparation for the meeting, SIG's leaders learned Important Regulations of the Communist Party of China collectively, with emphasis on the Party constitution, the Rules and the Regulations, made comparative checks on the basis of theoretical learning, surveys and researches, Party lectures and problem examination, and integrated seeking gaps in comparison with the Party constitution and rules with examining problems in comparison with Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instruction and the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee.

At the meeting, Yu made a comparative check first, followed by other leaders who delivered reports on seeking gaps in comparison with the Party constitution and rules one by one. They faced up to problems with high political consciousness, put themselves into problems, analyzed problems and sought gaps in 18 aspects in comparison with the Party constitution and rules, the Rules and the Regulations, sought roots of problems from the depths of thought and causes from Party spirit, and conducted self-examination.

Yu stressed that seeking gaps in comparison with the Party constitution and rules is important content of learning, education and problem examination in education themed "Staying true to the mission", as well as a major move to drive Party leaders and cadres to initiatively examine themselves and consciously correct errors. He required that SIG's leaders should take abiding by the Party constitution and rules as the fundamental requirement, learn and implement the spirit of the special meeting of the municipal committee on seeking gaps in comparison with the Party constitution and rules, practically enhance the awareness of the Party, the awareness of Party members and the awareness of discipline, correct problems arising in theme education, fulfill the work in their charge, make comparisons and seriously search problems. For some common problems arising in self-examination, SIG's leaders should work together, communicate with each other and promote each other, further find right positions, further improve their ability to solve problems, strengthen the Party building of SIG and advance the reform and innovation of SIG by actual deeds and effects.
