According to the work arrangement of education themed "Staying true to the mission", Shanghai International Group (SIG) held an executive symposium on survey results of theme education on the afternoon of August 1. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, hosted the symposium. Zuo Yan, Head of the 17th Tour Steering Group of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee on Theme Education, attended the symposium. Also present were Party leaders and the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of SIG, as well as key Party leaders of SIG's headquarters departments and subsidiaries.
Prior to the symposium, SIG's Party leaders, based on their responsibilities, headed to the grass-roots level to find problems, extensively solicited opinions and suggestions, carefully studied countermeasures and wrote survey reports.
At the symposium, SIG's leaders exchanged survey results and experiences. With focus on the theme of "Staying true to the mission", they started with addressing SIG's most realistic and urgent problems facing, focused on strategic planning, risk prevention, financial control, Party building innovation, talent motivation, mass organization building and other issues, went deep into how SIG further strengthens grass-roots Party organization building, deepens the function of state-owned capital platforms and promotes reform and innovation, and offered ideas for the future development of SIG.
Yu noted that the symposium is a sharing of results and a collision of ideas. Through learning from each other and building consensus, we can jointly plan for the future of SIG. As the survey is an important method of promoting work and addressing problems, we must carry through surveys with problems as orientation. Firstly, based on the effort to work out the "7+6" reform scheme and special plan proposed by Secretary Li Qiang during his visit to SIG, we should further conduct in-depth surveys of the grass-roots level to solicit opinions and suggestions of cadres and staff; secondly, we should attach great importance to the problems found in early surveys, probe into them, analyze causes and make correction; lastly, we should refine work ideas mentioned in survey reports into concrete measures, schemes and systems, make correction by stage immediately knowing causes of problems, transform survey results into concrete measures of addressing practical problems and promoting the development of SIG, and test survey results by actual work effects.
Yu arranged work for next-stage theme education, requiring the CPC SIG Committee and CPC committees (general Party branches) of SIG's subsidiaries should practically perform their subject responsibility, continue to deepen learning and education, carefully analyze problems, conduct specialized rectification, set stage goals, decompose tasks, identify responsibilities, make proper correction, and fully implement the work requirements of theme education according to the arrangement of the CPC SIG Committee.
The executive symposiums of SIG's subsidiaries on survey results of theme education had taken place by late July, with the participation of representatives of the Office of the Leading Group on Theme Education, SIG.
