SIG's Executive Training on learning the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech in Shanghai opened on the morning of May 17. Wu Jun, Member of the CPC SIG Committee and Secretary for the Discipline Inspection Commission attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Chen Zhenpeng, Member and Director of the Organization Department of the CPC SIG Committee hosted the training. Among over 100 attendees were the executives and young cadres of the CPC SIG Committee.
With a distinctive theme and great significance, the training is centralized political learning organized by the CPC SIG Committee for SIG's cadres, said Wu. He hoped that SIG's cadres would, through the training, learn and comprehend the spirit of General Secretary Xi's important speech in depth, deepen their understanding of Shanghai's heavy responsibility in the new era, unify their thought and action on the requirements and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and go all out to perform the three new major tasks assigned by General Secretary Xi and implement his work requirements in five aspects.
Wu stressed that SIG's Party members and cadres should, through the training, further improve their political ability, initiatively serve major national and municipal strategies, practically enhance learning consciousness, actively meet the new needs of reform and development, enhance their sense of responsibility and keep improving duty performance, to better serve SIG's "dual engine" strategy and the overall interests of Shanghai's reform and development.
With focus on the "three new major tasks": establishing a new area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, launching the Science and Technology Innovation Board on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and trying out the registration system, implementing the national strategy of integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, the two-day training will invite experts and scholars of the Party School of Shanghai Committee of C.P.C. and relevant departments under the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, to conduct comprehensive and systematic interpretation, thereby guiding SIG's Party members and cadres in further consolidating their confidence and determination to restart for the reform and opening-up, jointly creating a new prospect for the reform and development of SIG, and writing a new chapter for the development of Shanghai in the new era.
