SIG Women's Day Commendation Conference took place on the morning of March 7. Wu Jun, Member of the CPC SIG Committee and Secretary for the Discipline Inspection Commission of Shanghai International Group (SIG); Guan Wei, Chief Financial Officer of SIG; and Ma Haiyan, Member of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairwoman of the SIG Labor Union, were present. Among more than 80 attendees were chairpersons of grass-roots labor unions, members of women staff committees, women pacesetters, pacesetting women collectives, as well as women staff representatives of the SIG system.

Ma read the decision to commend SIG's women pacesetters and pacesetting women collectives from 2017 to 2018. Sun Beiyu, the Shanghai Woman Pacesetter (2017-2018) and 14 individuals including Liu Junjun named as SIG Woman Pacesetter (2017-2018); as well as 3 collectives including the Audit Department of SIG named as SIG Pacesetting Women Collectives (2017-2018) received awards.

The women pacesetters and pacesetting women collectives shared their experience of growing and leading teams in making achievements.

Wu noted that SIG's women staff should fortify ideals and convictions, and enhance the sense of mission for duty performance; should enhance the sense of accomplishment with focus on SIG's general development situation; should be diligent in learning and practice, and enhance the sense of happiness in work and life. He required that labor union and women staff organizations should uphold the banner and strengthen ideological guidance; should pool strength and encourage on-the-job achievements; should strengthen targeted service and practically safeguard the rights and interests of women workers; and should strengthen organizational construction and renovate work methods.

2019 is a critical year for SIG to deepen its functional positioning, accomplish innovational transformation and fulfill the three-year action plan. The women staff and workers of SIG should learn from the advanced, uphold the great banner of Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, further promote women's spirit of confidence, toughness and innovation in the times, fully exert their advantages and strengths with focus on SIG's reform and development, forge ahead with determination and work solidly, in an all-out effort to promote the new leap in the reform and development of SIG and meet the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China with outstanding results.
