On the afternoon of November 15, 2018, the 3rd CYL Congress of Shanghai International Group Co., Ltd. (SIG) was held. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors; and Dai Bing, Deputy Secretary of the CYL Shanghai Municipal Committee attended the congress and delivered speeches. Also present were Fu Fan, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG; Gu Jianzhong, Member of the CPC SIG Committee and Vice President of SIG; Guo Hua, Secretary of the CYL Work Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanghai (SHSASAC); Ma Haiyan, Member of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairwoman of the Labor Union of SIG; Dong Jiangshan, Director of the Grass-roots Work Department of the CYL Shanghai Municipal Committee; as well as heads of SIG's relevant departments and Party organizations of SIG's subsidiaries.
Zhao Cheng, Secretary of the CYL SIG Committee delivered a work report on behalf of the 2nd CYL SIG Committee. The report reviewed the work of the committee in the past five years, analyzed the new situation, raised new requirements and made clear the development direction and goal for the coming five years.
Dai extended congratulations on the opening of the congress on behalf of the CYL Shanghai Municipal Committee. He required that the CYL SIG Committee should stick to primary responsibilities and business, stick to serving the overall interests, stick to the fundamental purpose of serving youth, stick to the important requirements of strengthening Party discipline, organize and mobile youth to give full play to their roles as assistants, reserve forces, main forces and commandos during serving the development of Shanghai.
Yu delivered a speech on behalf of the CPC SIG Committee. According to the work arrangement of the CPC SIG Committee, in the last five years, the CYL SIG Committee has served the overall interests with focus on its central tasks, and made substantial efforts in consolidating the mass foundation of the Party, promoting the growth and success of youth and guiding youth in making achievements, thus making positive contributions to the development of SIG, said him. He stressed that SIG's League members should seize the major historical opportunity from the transformational development of SIG, fly their dream in the practice of driving SIG to restart for reform and opening-up, and become the forces of persistently pushing forward the reform and development of SIG. He required that the CYL SIG Committee should give top priority to strengthening its political nature and always follow the Party; should become more advanced and lead League members in making achievements in the new era; should practically enhance mass orientation, and take serving youth as the basis and foothold of CYL work. Party organizations at all levels should further drives League building through Party building to create better environment for CYL work.
Members of the 3rd CYL SIG Committee were elected at the conference. At the ensuing 1st plenary member meeting, the secretary and deputy secretaries of the committee were elected.
