On the eve of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), SIG 97th Anniversary of CPC Celebration & Commendation Conference was held on the morning of June 26. Among over 90 attendees were SIG's Party leaders including Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors; Fu Fan, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG; Zhang Guohong, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and Gu Jianzhong, Member of the CPC SIG Committee and Vice President of SIG; secretaries of grass-roots Party branches, as well as winners of the titles of " outstanding Party member, outstanding Party worker and advanced grass-roots Party organization".

The conference commended the outstanding Party members, outstanding Party workers and advanced grass-roots Party organizations from 2016 to 2017. The winners from the SIG system delivered speeches.

The outstanding Party members, outstanding Party workers and advanced grass-roots Party organizations in the SIG system have striven to be the best on their posts, devoted themselves to SIG's development and reform, displayed the role of Party branches as fortresses and the role of Party members as pioneers and models with top performance, and set a good example for SIG's Party organizations and members at all levels, said him.

He required that the Party members should, with the 97th anniversary of the Party as an opportunity, further learn the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, understand the great significance of staying true to mission and moving on, practically enhance awareness in four aspects and consolidate confidence in four aspects, and retain the intrinsic political quality of Party members.

In the face of the new era and new task, SIG should, according to the requirements of "deepening the reform and starting again", comprehensively serve the major strategy of building Shanghai into "five centers", further deepen the reform and promote innovative development, further enhance its core competitiveness, construct the comprehensive risk management system in depth, adhere to the strategy of "dual-wheel drive", and play a positive role in Shanghai's efforts to serve as a pioneer in the reform and opening-up and a forerunner in innovative development in the new era.
