On May 24, Shanghai Tongji University Education Development Foundation Donation Ceremony took place at Tongji University (Tongji). Fang Shouen, Chairman of Shanghai Tongji University Education Development Foundation (STUEDF); and Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors attended the ceremony. Wu Jiang, Executive Vice President of Tongji and Fu Fan, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG signed the contract on behalf of respective sides.

The donation was made by Shanghai State-owned Assets Management Co., Ltd. and SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd. under SIG for Urban Risk Prevention Control and Research Fund under STUEDF. The fund will support the disciplinary development of urban risk control, talent training and platform building, and boost the urban development and construction of Shanghai.

The donation shows SIG's mission of "sticking to responsibility and leading development", as well as its favorable image of repaying the society through philanthropy and performing social responsibility, and built a good platform for SIG to deepen its exchanges and interaction with universities, take an active part in research and academic development, intensify the cooperation ion research projects and industry research, develop new paths for introduction of outstanding professional talents, achieve win-win situation and better serve the SIG’s strategy.
