To have a better understanding of the development situation of Shanghai Technology Innovation Center (STIC) and better serve the major national strategy of STIC construction, according to the learning schedule of the Central Group of the CPC Committee of Shanghai International Group (SIG) for 2018, SIG's leaders including Yu Beihua, Fu Fan, Zhang Guohong and Gu Jianzhong visited Zhangjiang Comprehensive National Science Center, Shanghai, along with heads of SIG's departments and subsidiaries and executives of Shanghai Sci-Tech Innovation Center Capital on the afternoon of April 24.

SIG listened to the introduction of Wu Qiang, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park to the construction planning of Zhangjiang Yangtze River Delta Sci-Tech City, visited China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Zhangjiang Area, Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility, Shanghai Engineering Center for Microsatellites and other national technology projects, and learned about the construction, operations and applications of big science facilities.

During the visit to ShanghaiTech University (ShanghaiTech), SIG's leaders exchanged ideas with Jiang Mianheng and other leaders of ShanghaiTech on talent attraction, innovation spirit cultivation and other issues, and the two sides held a preliminary discussion about further strengthening business cooperation. SIG's leaders also visited ShanghaiTech's library, School of Information Science and Technology, School of Physical Science and Technology, Institute for Advanced Immunochemical Studies and iHuman Institute.

At the meeting, Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors said that through the visit, SIG has acquired further knowledge of the construction of Zhangjiang Comprehensive National Science Center, Shanghai, the agglomeration effect of big science facilities, state laboratories, new research institutions and high-level talents in Zhanjiang, and been keenly aware of the major technology layout of national strategies and the significance of advancing STIC construction. SIG will comprehensively implement the work arrangements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and serve the major development strategies of the country and Shanghai. Guided by the goal of serving and supporting STIC construction, Shanghai Sci-Tech Innovation Center Capital and other subsidiaries of SIG will focus on investment fields, optimize assets allocation, find the coherence points of major strategies and major projects, and give full play to the vitality of the market mechanism, thus making finance serve the real economy.
