On February 22, the first working day after the Spring Festival holiday, Shen Jun, Chairman of Shanghai International Group (SIG); Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Fu Fan, President of SIG met a delegation led by Jing`an District Mayor Lu Xiaodong, Deputy District Mayor Zhou Haiying and other leaders of Jing'an District. Ma Haiyan, Chairwoman of the Labor Union of SIG was present.

On behalf of the CPC Jing'an District Committee and the Jing'an District People's Government, Lu Xiaodong expressed his thanks to SIG for its long-term contributions to Jing'an's economic and social development. In 2017, Jing'an maintained its strong momentum after its merger with Zhabei District, remained on top among central urban areas in terms of economic growth, and achieved encouraging results in business environment, urban construction, livelihood projects and other aspects, said him. As SIG is an important state-owned enterprise and state-owned capital operation platform in Shanghai, as well as a key enterprise in Jing'an, Jing'an will further create favorable business environment and provide policy support to achieve win-win cooperation between the district and the enterprise, he noted.

Fu Fan briefly introduced the reform and development of SIG, as well as its business situation in 2017, and expressed heartfelt thanks to the CPC Jing'an District Committee and the Jing'an District People's Government for their permanent support to SIG's development. He noted that the two sides would strengthen interaction and communication, intensify the cooperation in urban renewal, technology innovation fund and other aspects, give play to the leading and magnifying role of state-owned capital through fund and other means of marketization, and pool social capital to boost regional development.

Shen Jun thanked the CPC Jing'an District Committee and the Jing'an District People's Government for their attention and support to SIG. Since its merger with Zhabei District, Jing'an has brought its advantage into full play, effectively integrated resources, formed a strong development momentum, carried out work in good order, and achieved brilliant results in urban construction, livelihood guarantee, investment promotion and other aspects. He noted that SIG would, as required by this round of state-owned capital and enterprise reform in Shanghai, further strengthen its connection with Jing'an and join hands with Jing'an to create a favorable situation of interaction and win-win cooperation. In urban construction and livelihood guarantee, regional development should not only meet current needs, but also be subject to the long-term plan and the concept of sustainable development, and persistent efforts should be made to build Shanghai into an innovative city, humanistic city and ecological city, he added.
