To implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the Central Economic Work Conference, as well as the important conferences of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, comprehensively review SIG's work in 2017 and deploy the work for 2018 according to the work arrangements of the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shanghai (SHSASAC) and SHSASAC, the Work Conference 2018 of Shanghai International Group (SIG) was held at No. 208 conference hall of the SIG Mansion on the afternoon of January 30.

Shen Jun, Chairman of SIG presided over the conference. SIG`s Party leaders, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, executives above the assistant head level, full-time directors and supervisors, as well as dispatched executives attended the conference. Party leaders of Sailing Capital, Shanghai Sci-tech Capital, GP Capital, Guohe Capital and Growth FOF were present.

At the conference, Fu Fan, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG delivered the work report of SIG. The report pointed out that:led by the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, guided and supported by SHSASAC, the Shanghai Municipal Financial Service Office and other departments, SIG has served the need of the construction of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and "five centers", centered on two primary businesses: state-owned capital operation and investment management, studied and worked out SIG's strategic action plan for the coming three years, focused on annual business targets, completed and launched a number of state-owned capital operation projects, advanced active investment, optimized its asset allocation structure, further improved the scientific and standardized level of comprehensive management, and fulfilled the targets set in early 2017. By late 2017, SIG's total assets and net assets had reached 244.155 billion yuan and 178.695 billion yuan according to unaudited consolidated statements, up by 8.95 percent and 6.25 percent from early 2017 respectively; SIG and its subsidiaries had achieved a total profit of 5.01 billion yuan, fulfilling 103.5 percent of its annual budgeted profit target.

The report stressed that SIG and its subsidiaries should focus on four aspects in 2018: firstly, deepening the function of the state-owned capital operation platform, exploring and enriching the connotation of state-owned capital operation; secondly, further enhancing initiative and innovation, and strengthening investment management capacity building; thirdly, strengthening institutional guidance and risk control, and refining industrial funds; lastly, adhering to marketization and professionalism, and continuing to improve the level of comprehensive management.

Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee raised requirements for Party work and delivered a speech. He spoke highly of SIG's achievements in business operations and Party building in 2017. In 2017, with focus on meeting the 19th CPC National Congress and learning and implementing the spirit of the congress, under the leadership of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Party Committee of SHSASAC, the CPC SIG Committee persistently strengthened Party self-discipline, comprehensively implemented the arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and SHSASAC for Party building, practically performed the subject responsibility of Party building and Party conduct construction, and gave full play to the role of the Party as leading and political core; all memebers of SIG made concerted efforts, forged ahead and worked innovatively, thus fulfilling all targets.

2018 is the opening year of implementing the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up, as well as a critical year for SIG's three-year plan. All memebers of SIG must unify thought and action on the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the arrangement of the Party Central Committee for economic work this year and the work arrangement of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee for Shanghai this year. Overall work requirements for 2018 iscomprehensively implementing the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, being guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, adhering to new development ideas, making persistent progress while maintaining stability, focusing on Shanghai's major strategic tasks, comprehensively implementing SIG's three-year action plan for strategic development, sticking to "Twin-wheel Strategy", continuing to deepen reform, improving investment quality and benefit, intensifying risk prevention, and playing a more positive role in Shanghai's efforts in serving as a pioneer in national reform and opening-up and a forerunner in innovative development in the new era.

Yu required that SIG should focus on deepening reform and promoting innovative development, serving Shanghai's major strategic tasks, improving investment quality and benefit, intensifying risk prevention and brand building. Party building work of SIG should be guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, comprehensively learn and implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, comprehensively perform the subject responsibility of Party building and Party conduct construction, promote the efficient and sustainable development of SIG, and focus on seven aspects: firstly, carrying out education themed "Remain true to original aspiration and keep mission firmly in mind."; secondly, strengthening Party leadership and conducting overall planning of reform and development; thirdly, unswervingly strengthening Party discipline and performing the subject responsibility of the Party committee; fourthly, constantly strengthening leading body construction and building a high-quality cadre and talent team; fifthly, firmly pressing ahead with the Party conduct construction of SIG, enforcing Party discipline strictly, and creating an upright and clean atmosphere; sixthly, comprehensively strengthening grass-roots Party organization construction, enhancing the combativeness and cohesion of Party organizations; lastly, improving the scientific level of mass organizations and steadily carrying out spiritual civilization construction.

At last, Yu raised specific requirements for work around the year: During the Spring Festival, SIG should strictly implement work including shift arrangement, travel-plan report work safety, addressing complaints to maintenance stability and visiting needy employees, to ensure a safe and peaceful festival.
