To learn, promote and implement the principles set at the 19^th CPC National Congress, SIG invited Yan Shuang, Head of Shanghai Promoters of the 19^th CPC National Congress, Deputy Head of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Publicity Department, and Party Secretary of Shanghai Federation of Social Science Associations. The meeting was chaired by the SIG Party Secretary Yu Beihua. More than 130 people attended the meeting, including the SIG top leadership, assistants administered by SIG Party Secretary and above, secretaries and members of Party Branches (General Branch) in SIG, all personnel in SIG Headquarters, intermediate assistants in SIG subsidiaries and retired executives of SIG.

Yan Shuang made an education report featuring with rich contents and wonderful guidance, which focused on the theme and major outcomes, Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the New Era, socialism with Chinese characteristics entering the New Era, the strategic mission of two Century Objectives, and persistently strict disciplining the Party members. It educated and enlightened the Party members for them to accurately and deeply understand the principles set at the 19^th CPC National Congress.

Yu Beihua put forward three points of requirements for SIG to promote and implement the principles set at the 19^th CPC National Congress. First, learn, in the honest and original way, the principles set at the 19^th CPC National Congress. Read carefully the original articles and books to genuinely understand and comprehend the principles while gathering around the Central Committee of CPC with Xi Jinping as the core. Second, do well in educating and promoting the principles. Strengthen the organizing and leadership, clarify the requirements, fulfill responsibilities, ensure effect of learning and foster the strong atmosphere of educating and implementing the principles set at the 19^th CPC National Congress. Third, push forward SIG reform and development. Apply the principles in the work, finalize the tasks and objectives for the year, plan the work for the next year, and transform the principles into the powerful force that deepens the reform and promotes development.
