On November 30, 2017, the 1st Plenary Session of the 4th Labor Union Member Congress of Shanghai International Group (SIG) was held. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee; Yao Jiayong, Vice Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Financial Work Committee and Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Financial Labor Union; Fu Fan, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG; Ding Xiaoyun, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Zhao Biao, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Financial Work Committee were present. Ma Haiyan, Chairwoman of the Labor Union of SIG presided over the meeting. Labor union member representatives in the group attended the meeting.

The meeting adopted the work reports of the 3rd Labor Union Committee and Fund Audit Committee upon deliberation, and elected members of the 4th Labor Union Committee and Fund Audit Committee.

In the work report of the 3rd Labor Union Committee, Ma noted that the 3rd Labor Union Committee, under the leadership of the superior labor union and the group Party committee, has upheld the Party's leadership, persistently served employees, pushed forward democratic management, taken new steps in employee service, achieved new breakthrough in labor union construction and created a new situation for labor union work. Based on previous work, the new group labor union committee will continue to work on reform and innovation, play its role as a bridge linking the Party to employees and make new contributions to the innovative development of the group.

Yu spoke highly of the efforts of the group labor union committee over the past five years. In recent years, the group labor committee has brought its organizational advantage into full play and led employees in making positive contributions to group reform and development, said him, stressing that the 19th CPC National Congress portrayed a magnificent blueprint for building socialism with Chinese characteristics in an all-round way. The 11th Municipal Party Congress set the goal of basically building Shanghai into "four centers" and a socialist modern international metropolis. As a state-owned capital operation platform and financial equity investment enterprise in Shanghai, the group has made new contributions to the economic and social development of Shanghai. Facing the new situation and new requirements, the group labor union should uphold the Party's leadership, be guided by the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and firmly grasp the right direction of labor union work; should give play to the role of employees as the main force and owner, and lead employees in joining group reform and development; should adhere to primary business and main responsibility, build harmonious labor relations and practically safeguard employees' rights and interests; should continue to serve employees with people as center; and should

constantly strengthen self construction and improve the level of duty performance.

Yao extended congratulations on the holding of the congress. Under the leadership of the group Party committee, the 3rd Labor Union Committee has relied on employees for development and developed for employees, made effective efforts to promote the business development of the group, and won support from employees, said him. The 19th CPC National Congress has sounded the bugle to win the great victory of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and labor union work is in a new historical position and historical starting point. He hoped that the new labor union committee would continue to carry forward fine tradition under the leadership of the group Party committee, make clear missions and requirements, and consciously guide labor union work with the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress; would mobilize employees to contribute to the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era; would serve employees to enhance employees' sense of gain and happiness; and would deepen labor union reform, further strengthen labor union construction, innovate and develop in inheritance, make new achievements in the new era, and constantly push forward labor union work.

The meeting required that the new group labor union committee should further learn, publicize and implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, be guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, seriously implement the requirements and goals set at the meeting, uphold the Party's leadership, keep to the Party's mass line, make persistent achievements on posts, never slack off on self construction and make new contributions to group reform and development.
