On the afternoon of October 30, CPC SIG Committee convened a meeting to convey the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and made arrangements on SIG`s study, publicity and implementation work of the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. The meeting was presided over by Yu Beihua, Secretary of CPC SIG Committee, members of CPC SIG Committee, executives of SIG, cadres of assistant-head level and above and heads of subsidiaries of SIG attended the meeting.

The meeting conveyed the gist and spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, the spirit of the speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 1st Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the speech made by Comrade Han Zheng at the Meeting of Main Cadres of Administration and Party of Shanghai.

Shen Jun, Chairman of SIG, pointed out that studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress is the primary political task for now and even within quite a long period of time forward. First, we must make efforts to really understand and to grasp the thought of Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era of Xi Jinping. In the process of the study, we should try to understand the spirit comprehensively, systematically rather than separately and segmentally. The second is to concretely put the spirit into practice. It is necessary to comprehensively plan various tasks of SIG in full accordance with the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, come up with concrete measures and finish due tasks one after another, and make sure all plans carried out.

On studying and implementing the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress, Yu Beihua, Secretary of CPC SIG Committee put forward three requirements: First, Party organizations of all levels in SIG should attach great importance to 19th CPC National Congress and make sure the spirit should be delivered to everyone; each Party member in SIG should study the spirit of 19th CPC National Congress by reading the original text to exactly grasp the content and target of the report of the 19th Congress and fully understand the gist and essence of remarks made by General Secretary Xi Jinping. Second, we must take the 19th National Congress of CPC as guidance, push forward the various tasks of SIG to a new level, ensure the successful accomplishment of the annual goals and tasks, plan the work arrangements for next year, and making contributions for Shanghai to become the forerunner in the reform and opening-up drive and the pace-setter for the innovative development in the new era. Third, Party members should strengthen "Four Consciousness", dare to assume responsibilities, maintain the courage for innovation, ambition to take the lead and spirit to make constant progress; the management members should set examples and put emphasis on implementation, be courageous to take responsibility and make breakthroughs, so as to transfer the study of the spirit into the great drive for SIG`s development, reform and innovation and concretely implement each of the tasks.
