At 9:00 on October 18, the 19th CPC National Congress was grandly held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. General Secretary Xi Jinping made a report to the General Assembly on behalf of the 18th Central Committee. Members of CPC SIG Committee, leaders of the Management group, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of SIG and cadres of assistant-head level and above of SIG, heads of SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd. and SCITICO Assets Management Co., Ltd. gathered at Room 208 of the SIG Mansion to watch the live broadcasting of CPC National Congress. Party organizations under SIG with their office location outside the SIG mansion also watched the live broadcast at their respective working place.

The report of General Secretary Xi Jinping further points out the direction of the Party and the nation, which is a Political Declaration and Guideline of Action of our Party to unite and lead the people of all nationalities to persist and develop Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, which is a programmatic material of Marxism, and puts forward a thought of Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and expounds the basic strategy of persisting in and developing Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Everyone at present was excited, enthusiastic and inspired. Cadres and staffs of SIG all expressed that they will have a thorough understanding of the report made by General Secretary of Xi Jinping, unify thought and action to the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, stick to their own posts, bear in mind the mission, gather everyone`s efforts onto the Party-building work of SIG and its reform and development, making contributions for Shanghai to become the forerunner in the reform and opening-up drive and the pace-setter for the innovative development, and for Shanghai to further complete its reform on SOAs and SOEs and its development on International Financial Center, Science and Technology Innovation Center and the Shanghai Free-trade Zone.
