On the afternoon of May 25th, the Organization Department of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission(SASAC) held personnel adjustment meeting of executives of SIG. The meeting was attended by Mr. Jin Xingming, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Municipal Government, Secretaryof the CPC Shanghai SASAC Committee, Director-General of Shanghai SASAC, Mrs. Leng Weiqing, Deputy Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Shanghai Committee and other members of SIG`s management, and attendees of the meeting also included cadres from the Division of Personnel of the Organization Department, Corporate Personnel Management Division of CPC Shanghai SASAC Committee, each department and subsidiary of SIG.

The meeting was hosted by Mr. Jin Xingming. Mr. Gu Yongbo, Deputy Head of the Division of Personnel of the Organization Department of CPC Shanghai Committee, announced the personnel appointment by the CPC Shanghai Committee and the Shanghai Municipal Government: Mr. Fu Fan holds the position of Deputy Secretary the CPC SIG Committee and President of Shanghai International Group Co., Ltd. Mr. Fu Fan made a statement on his appointment after the announcement.

Mr. Shen Jun, Secretary of CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of SIG, delivered speech on the meeting. He pointed out that the personnel adjustment in SIG is decided by the CPC Shanghai Committee and Shanghai Municipal Government in an aim to strengthen SIG`s management members and optimize the structure of the management, which shows the importance that CPC Shanghai Committee and Shanghai Municipal Government has attached to the future development and management team building of SIG. As to the next step, SIG will give full play to its role as state-owned capital operation platform under the deployment of CPC Shanghai Committee and Shanghai Municipal Government, earnestly carry out its role as “two main bodies and one channel”, fulfill its tasks in proactive investment and market-oriented operation, apply market-oriented principles into the operation of SIG as a state-owned capital operation platform to increase and preserve the value of state-owned capital.

Mrs. Leng Weiqing, Deputy Head of the Organization Department of CPC Shanghai Committee, made a speech on the meeting and raised three points for the management team of SIG: first is to strengthen the work of Party-building as always and carry out the spirit of the 11th Congress of Party Representatives of CPC Shanghai Committee and National Party-building Work Meeting, assemble tasks lists, timeline lists, clarify working targets and responsibilities; second is to keep up our spirits, the management should lead all the staff in SIG to give full support to the development of Shanghai as an International Financial Center and Sci-tech Innovation Center, strengthen our sense of responsibility and sense of mission; third is to work jointly and further put emphasis on talent development among cadres, enhance the cultivation of backup cadres and deliver more talents who understand the market and business.

Finally, Mr. Jin Xingming made key speech, raising two hopes for the future development of SIG. He points out that first is for SIG to stick to serving the general requirements and fulfill its tasks as a state-owned capital operation platform. SIG should always enhance its sense of mission to echo with the national strategy, stimulate innovation, seize the initiative, keep up to the strategy of integrating finance with industry, upgrade the capability to serve for the real economy and make more contributiosn to the socio-economic development and the people`s livelihood in Shanghai. Second is to stick to strengthen Party self-discipline and continue to deepen party-building work in SIG. We should implement the spirit of Party-building Work Meeting of CPC Central Committee and CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, enhance corporate party-building work, explore modern corporate governance with Chinese characteristics and give full play to Party organizations in enterprises to function as the leadership core and political core, be highly disciplined according to relevant regulations, put emphasis on cultivation of leaders and talents to provide intellectual support for the sustainable development of SIG.
