On the afternoon of February 23rd, SIG held a CPC SIG Committee Central Group Lecture, inviting Mr. Chen Xuyuan, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai International Port Group, for a report on the theme of the development of Shanghai as a International Shipping Center. The Central Group Lecture was hosted by Mr. Shen Jun, Secretary of CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of SIG, and joined by 90 attendees of the session including party and executive members, assistant-heads and above managed by CPC SIG Committee, SIG staff members and executives from subsidiaries.

Mr. Chen Xuyuan rendered a substantial, in-depth and comprehensive report on development process Shanghai to be an International Shipping Center, development trend of the global shipping center, Shanghai International Port Group`s practice in the development of shipping center and the prospect of Shanghai International Shipping Center. The report is instructive and inspirational for further understanding the significance and urgency of the development of Shanghai as an International Shipping Center.

Mr. Shen Jun pointed out that Chairman Chen`s report has been integrated with consideration for the future, which embodies the wisdom, vision and grand expectation of an outstanding entrepreneur, and staffs of SIG are supposed to learn and draw lessons from excellent working philosophy and concept of Shanghai International Port Group. We should be forward-looking while solving problems and enhance understanding on “Four Awareness”. Moreover, focusing on the reform on Shanghai`s SOAs and SOEs and the strategic targets of SIG, we should solidify the implementation of our work, march forward with innovation spirit and continue to score new achievements for SIG`s reform and development.
