On the afternoon of December 8th, the name list of “2016 Shanghai Financiers” was revealed, a ceremony dubbed as Oscar Award in Shanghai`s Financial Industry. This year, awards of the event go to 19 outstanding figures in Shanghai financial Industry. Mr. Gu Jianzhong, Vice President of SIG, is awarded as “Leader of Shanghai’s Financial Sector”. This also marks the six consecutive year that leaders from SIG to be awarded with the title.

As a new display of the development of Shanghai’s international financial center development, this event is co-hosted by China Economic Information Service of Xinhua News Agency, News information Center of Xinhua News Agency, Xinhua News Agency Shanghai Division, China Finance Information Center, Xinhua.com, Shanghai Securities News, Shanghai Financial Association and China Business Network, and supported by authorities including Shanghai Financial service office, Shanghai Headquarter of People’s Bank of China, Shanghai Banking Regulatory Bureau, CSRC Shanghai Branch, CIRC Shanghai Bureau. The annual Award of “Shanghai Financiers” has been successfully held for six sessions since 2011, and has greatly improved social influence and popularity of leading figures in Shanghai’s financial industry, making positive effect in improving Shanghai’s soft-power as an International Financial Center and enriching Shanghai’s financial culture.
