SIG 2022 Mid-year Work Meeting was held on July 15. Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, hosted the meeting and delivered a speech. Liu Xinyi, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and President of SIG, delivered the semiannual business work report. Wu Jun, Vice Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee, delivered the Party building work report. Present were members of SIG's leading body, executives of the CPC SIG Committee, heads of the CYL SIG Committee, the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of SIG, SIG's dispatched supervisors and key leaders of industrial funds.

In the first half of 2022, facing the complex and changeable external environment and epidemic situation, SIG firmly implemented the decisions and plans of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, as well as the CPC Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SHSASAC), earnestly performed the primary responsibility of epidemic control, pressed ahead with work such as financial holding group building, investment management, platform function deepening and major risk control, conducted epidemic control in a steady and orderly manner, proceeded with high-quality development, and well coordinated epidemic control with business development. All the executives and staff of SIG have charged ahead, making concerted and all-out efforts to implement work and secure development.

This year marks the concluding year for SIG's three-year action plan for strategic development. Guided by Xi Jinping's thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, we should take the positive results of studying and implementing the spirit of the 12th CPC Shanghai Municipal Congress into the strong impetus for stabilizing growth, seeking development and promoting reforms, push forward high-quality development amid regular epidemic control according to the requirements of "keeping the epidemic under control, stabilizing the economy and developing soundly", and go all out to fulfill our annual tasks and targets, so as to lay a solid foundation for the reform and development of SIG in the three years to come, and meet the 20th CPC National Congress by action.

First, enhancing ideological sensitivity

As the 20th CPC National Congress is about to held in the second half of 2022, we should keep a sober mind, enhance the consciousness of maintaining political integrity, thinking in big-picture terms, following the core of leadership and keeping in alignment with the central Party leadership, stay confident in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, uphold General Secretary Xi Jinping's core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole, and improve the ability to judge and understand political issues and implement political requirements. From an overall and strategic perspective, according to the plans and requirements of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, as well as the CPC Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission of SHSASAC, with focus on our primary responsibility and business, we should initiatively serve major municipal strategies, and make new contributions to Shanghai's efforts in accelerating the building of a globally influential socialist modern international metropolis.

Second, enhancing work foresight

We should plan for the reform and development of SIG in the three years to come, and endeavor to build the strategic edge of SIG in the coming three to five years and beyond. Concretely, we should well balance the relationship between the current work and long-term development, and further enhance work predictability and effectiveness.

Third, enhancing work permeability

With focus on our annual tasks and targets, we should work in higher spirits, strive to make up for the time lost during the epidemic outbreak, and fulfill our targets.

The meeting also emphasized three tasks: First, we should conduct regular epidemic control prudentially to consolidate the hard-won outcomes of epidemic control. Second, we should persist in safe production, tighten source control, and strengthen flood and typhoon prevention, to ensure "zero accident" in work. Third, we should consolidate the defensive line against risks, improve our ability to resist risks, and hold fast to the bottom line against major risks.

To strictly implement Shanghai's spirit of epidemic control, the meeting was held in a main venue and two break-out venues.
