Yu Beihua Holds Talks with Newly-appointed Dispatched Directors of SIG's Subsidiaries

On the afternoon of August 18, Yu Beihua, Secretary of the CPC SIG Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors, held talks with the five newly-appointed dispatched directors of SIG's subsidiaries, raising requirements for the duty performance of directors and the improvement in the comprehensive ability of executives.

According to the requirements that external directors should be in the majority at subsidiaries of supervised enterprises at all levels set by the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission in the Three Action Plan for Promoting the Reform of State-owned Enterprises, SIG completed the revision of the articles of association of its three subsidiaries and the staffing of dispatched directors in late June 2022. Regarding how the newly-appointed dispatched directors better perform their duties and play their role as directors, Yu noted that, first, they should set good examples and perform their duties seriously according to the list of duties performed by SIG's directors and supervisors; respect facts and implement SIG's core values of "integrity as foundation"; and dare to tell the truth and air their true opinions. Second, they should broaden their horizon, consider issues from the perspectives of Shanghai, SIG and development, serve SIG's development strategy and contribute to Shanghai's development. Third, they should improve their ability, strengthen active learning, bring their business expertise into play, improve their capacity for comprehensive management and business capability, and strive to be versatile talents. Fourth, they should persist in innovation, enhance the awareness of reform and innovation, overcome the idea of conformism, make innovation in accordance with laws and regulations, and constantly push forward the deepening of reform and business innovation in subsidiaries.
