The year 2022 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China (CYL). To unleash the new vitality of model youth collectives in the new era, in 2021, the CYL Central Committee teamed up with 22 members of the Organizing Committee of National Campaign for Model Youth Collective Creation, to rate the previous national model youth collectives under a "three levels, three stars" system. Each level has three star ratings representing the number of times to be selected as a model youth collective (one star represents one time; the highest rating for each level is three stars).

Recently, the Organizing Committee of National Campaign for Model Youth Collective Creation has released the Notice on Rating One-star National Model Youth Collectives, rating 7,776 collectives as "One-star National Model Youth Collectives", marking the first time that national model youth collectives have been rated. With the concern and support of the CYL SIG Committee and the General League Branch of SIG Asset Management Co., Ltd. (SIGAM), through early application, upon systematic deliberation, level-by-level review, strict examination and public announcement by the Organizing Committee of National Campaign for Model Youth Collective Creation, the Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai Executive Club under the League Branch of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai (Model Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai) was awarded this honor.

The Model Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai was established in 1993 in the early days of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai. Over the past 30 years, it has brought together the best and most active young staff of the hotel, among which League members account for more than 80%. It is a vibrant, dutiful and responsible youth team.

In recent years, under the strong leadership of the General Party Branch of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai, supported and guided by the CYL SIG Committee and the General League Branch of SIGAM, the Model Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai has guided actions by thoughts, concepts and spirit, constantly strengthened ideological and political guidance, inherited and promoted the spirit of Model Youth Collective, and led League members in making achievements on their posts, taking on responsibilities and overcoming difficulties to contribute to the reform and development of the enterprise.

Firming up the ideals and beliefs of members through ideological guidance

The Model Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai has offered ideological and political guidance to League members, and taken firming up ideals and beliefs as the basic requirements for every member. By organizing participation in SIG's Party history education, a Party co-building activity themed "Four Histories Learning", an online League lecture themed "Learning the Party's History Together" and a scenario-based lecture themed "Red Memories of Duolun Road Block", the team has kept strengthening ideological and political guidance to its members, and deepened ideological and political studies for them, so that they will keep in mind the original aspiration of following the Party and the mission of youth.  

Establishing the awareness of youth service with the service concept

As the hotel's brightest service brand, the Model Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai has upheld the concept of serving guests zealously, provided warm and thoughtful services to guests from all over the world, thought in guests' shoes, shown the mental outlook of contemporary young people who dare to fight and guide social trends, and display the image of the hotel as a quality service brand.

Over the past 30 years, the Model Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai has undertaken major events such as APEC Meeting, G20 Summit, Beijing Olympic Games, World Expo, Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia and China International Import Fair, as well as the missions of receiving international dignitaries such as the Prime Minister of Belgium, the former Prime Minister of France and foreign diplomatic envoys to China, gaining unanimous praise from guests. Through the unremitting efforts of generations of League members, the team has won titles such as National Model Youth Collective, Shanghai Model Youth Collective, Shanghai Customer Satisfaction Service Star Team, Shanghai Red Flag Collective of Civilization and Shanghai Window of Civilization.

Fostering the responsibility of youths by the spirit of the model youth collective

The Model Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai has upheld the spirit of "devotion, collaboration, excellence and dedication", with backbone and experts emerging to lead the team in devoting themselves to their posts, fully demonstrating youths' due sense of responsibility.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, the Model Youth Team of Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai charged ahead and stuck to the frontline of the fight against the epidemic amid nationwide closedown. Over the past three years, under the circumstances that the hotel was in trouble amid the recurrence of the epidemic, the team broke up the whole into parts, devoted themselves to work and played multiple roles on single posts. Especially during the brand switch in 2021, the team unleashed their positive energy of youth and adhered to the service standards, to improve the online reputation of the hotel and enhance its brand image.

In the current round of Shanghai's fight against the epidemic, at the call of the Party, the team has volunteered and charged forward, sticking to the frontline of epidemic prevention and service for more than two months. Through unremitting efforts and warm services, they accomplished the mission of receiving the Consul General of China in Belfast, the guests transferred from The Westin Bund Center Shanghai and the volunteers of Guotai Junan amid the epidemic outbreak, showing their sense of responsibility as the young staff of a state-owned enterprise and polishing the golden brand of "Model Youth Collective" by action.

"Model Youth Collective" is not only an honor, but also a responsibility. In the future, it will unite and guide generations of youths at Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai in staying true to their original aspiration and mission, pursuing excellence, assuming heavy responsibilities, making unremitting efforts, inheriting and promoting the service philosophy of "Smiles for Guests, Trust in Hyland", devoting themselves to posts and making achievements, to constantly contribute to the overall reform and development of SIG and the hotel, meet the 20th CPC National Congress by action, and open a new page for vibrant youth!
